TODAY AT ED EXAM
We’ve added to the Practice Question area with a set of “answer templates” for various types of questions in the written exam (eg “discuss” questions, or “management” questions). These should help those starting out to get an idea of what points you must cover in the various types of answers, and how to make your answers logical, prioritised and “consultant level”. Those preparing for the 2011.2 or 2012.1 exam may also find them useful to get some ideas on how to improve their written VAQ/SAQ answers. Rememebr they are to be used as a guide only, so don’t just copy them into your new answers, instead use the format to see if there’s anything missing from your current answers or gaps that need filling, and try writing a few different styles of answers to see what suits you best.
ALSO – GOOD LUCK TO THOSE FLYING TO WELLINGTON THIS WEEK!
You’re almost there, remember to relax, think positively, don’t get thrown by patients with strange Kiwi accents. Take the night before the exam starts off, go see a movie or have a nice dinner, and get some rest, so you can show up fresh and focussed on the day. And remember: you’ve done all the hard work, so get in there and take what is rightfully yours!!
